DVC Hospital and Research Centre has got an OT complex spread over 3000 sft. in the first floor of the hospital building comprising of 4 OT rooms of which 2 are Laminar flow OTs and 2 modular kind. The Anaesthesia department comprises 4 anaesthetists and a team of OT staff and anaesthesia technicians providing services in OT complex 24x7.
We provide services to various departments which include General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Oromaxillofacial Surgery and other super-specialities which include Urology, Neurosurgery, Surgical Gastroenterology and Cardiology, as well as casualty and non-operating room anaesthesia. Quality care anaesthesia is provided following all the standard protocols with the help of state of the art anaesthetic equipment provided by SDVC memorial trust.
We perform wide range of surgeries which include knee replacement, hip replacement and laparoscopic surgeries like lap cholecystectomy, lap hernioplasty, lap hysterectomy, lap nephrectomy and partial hepatectomy. We are ably supported by well-equipped ICU for post-op ventilation when required and PAC unit.
Our services start with pre-anaesthetic evaluation, optimising the case, administering anaesthesia, intra-operative monitoring with multi-channel monitors, post-op analgesia services and achieving good recovery enabling the patient go home satisfactorily. Special focus is laid upon post-op analgesia care with epidural continuous injection with syringe pumps and ultrasound guided nerve blocks. In the ER and ICU, we provide our services round the clock, reviving unstable patients by performing intubation, central venous catheterisation, shock management, resuscitation of cardiac arrest patients and ventilator management.
We take pride in providing anaesthesia to cases being done by Dr. Jagadeesh Gudaru, a renowned orthopaedician, Ex-superintendent, BIRRDS Hospital, Tirupati, serving the differently abled children by performing procedures like limb lengthening surgeries, osteotomies, tendon transfers and various other procedures. We also have had the privilege of serving patients with carcinoma buccal mucosa, mucormycosis, panfacial trauma on whom surgeries were performed by our OFMS surgeon Dr. Gowri Shankar and his team. The cardiology department is also being supported by our anaesthesia team in Cath Lab procedures.
We serve the patients coming from various sectors, public from in and around places and nearby towns like Tenali and Guntur, Sangam dairy employees and their families, society members and their families, patients having Arogya Sri, EHS and insurance.
